What happens after a hippopotamus sneezes? Who knows. All kidding aside, I have heard that when you sneeze, your heart stops temporarily, I believe it stops for one beat. Anyway, then a person says, "bless you" so that your heart starts up again.

Whether this is actually true or not is something for scientists to prove. Isn't nature rather interesting with all the things there are to ponder.

Just recently I purchased a College Physics book because I have this notion that I want to teach myself physics, just to see if I can. And also to learn more about how things work the way they do.

God has put on the earth so many "phenomena" to make us ponder, from time to time, how things work and why things happen the way they do. Sometimes scientists make approximations when they don't know the exact answer. This allows them to have more accuracy despite the lack of accuracy of some experimentation.

When experimenting there are so many factors to consider. Precision is necessary to accomplish a great many things.

So how can you be more precise? Reading the Bible may help, and also praying. God can help you get precision. Just like He can help you make decisions that may have been bugging you for quite some time.

I have often heard from people that they can't believe in what the Bible states because there are so many contradictions. But yet people often vote for a candidate for president or other government office even though statistics may bear out that what they think may not be true. You only need to watch a presidential debate or a gubernatorial debate to realize that each candidate has their own set of statistics that are counter to another candidates statistics. So it becomes the burden of a governments people to decide which candidates statistics are true.

What this means is that there are so many inconsistencies in life, and no matter how much you think you know what you are talking about that does not mean that you actually do know yourself what you are talking about. You may see the fallacies or what you perceive to be fallacies and then another viewpoint comes along which has merit, you realize. Then all of a sudden you find yourself flip-flopping in another direction.

When a person looks at the Bible as inconsistent or contradictory, that person needs to translate or concentrate on what is between the lines. You have to see the possible inconsistencies and turn them into truths whether they are opposites or not.

Look.....everybody has an opinion of why something is the way it is. You have your opinion and so do I. It doesn't mean that my opinion is better than yours or that your opinion is better than mine. But it is what we can both agree on together that counts.

The Bible was written out of love. That love came from God. I think we can all agree on that or at least a reasonable facsimile thereof. We need to not judge the Bible for maybe showing different viewpoints, but for what it is there for us and that is to enrich our lives. It is there for our spiritual edification and to give us a chance to know God in the only way we know how, through the love that He gives us and to take that spiritual fruit and let it grow within us so that others can see who we are and what we have done.

Don't let what others say get you down or discourage you from reading the Bible. There are a lot of people that will try to sway you away from the path that God gives us. I have often heard pastors say that the road to heaven is narrow. The reason it is so narrow is because there are so many people and distractions from both sides of the road that try to steer us away from the road and not steer the good course. There are thorns to the side and there are hecklers who try to make fools of us. They are the fools not us.

So when you find yourself going in another direction than where you should be going, ask God for His love and His guidance so that you can steer yourself down the right path to a more fulfilling and lasting relationship with God.

Prayer: Dear Lord, we are often distracted from going down the correct path. At these times Lord give us the strength and the conviction to get back on to the path and follow you. Help us to realize that you are there for us when we need you. We thank you, Lord, for all your many blessings. Amen.

Benediction: Now, Lord, Bless us in our daily lives. Help us to smell the roses whenever possible, to shine our light on those less fortunate than us, and lead us in the path we should go. For you are the light that keeps our path well lit. Help us to follow it, until we meet you, in a land where milk and honey abound, a place where our most wonderful dreams are fulfilled. Amen.

Hi, my name is Bryan, a messenger of hope who would love to hear from you. God Bless.
