Sometimes you go through life thinking that the people you have grown to trust are actually trustworthy. But then you hear a lie from them and then another one and then another and what you thought was the pedestal that you put that person on is now nothing but rubble. But sometimes you feel like you are a part of that rubble.

You may find yourself from time to time wandering the streets of life looking for the cherry to put on your whip cream. But the cherry may not be real easy to find. You go to the supermarket and you can't find the cherries because everybody else took them leaving you with none.

Then you are left with this feeling of dispair because you can't find that cherry to put on your whip cream. But like a foolish person you keep looking for one in one market after another. But why not get a strawberry instead. But then no, because you had your mind set on a cherry with no room for substitutes.

We all see perfection of one way or another. We want things to be simple without flaws. But as a human you are full of them. Not because you want them, but because they are who you are. You are a human. You make mistakes as other people do.

But you are not alone because there are a lot of other people on this planet that feel the same way. There are a lot of lonely people in this world who are looking for reasons. Reasons to exist and those that never find their way become victims of their own foolishness. They have decided to ignore what is in their hearts. They ignore the knock on the door every time and when they complain to God, he says that He tried many times to talk to them by knocking on the door.

But in order to have a relationship with God, you have to let Him in. This may mean letting your guard down. It will also mean giving of yourself with your time.

That's the thing about life. It requires work. You can't expect to get things done if you are always looking for the cherry. OK, now, forget about the cherry. Forget about it right now .......... Hey stop thinking about the cherry. Put your mind on the strawberry. You see God can be your strawberry. He can be the alternative to the fly always hitting the glass until it dies. You don't want to be that fly, always doing the same thing again and again with no other goal than hitting the glass again and again to get outside. Look for the crack at the bottom of the window and fly to freedom.

Sometimes we keep hitting the glass because we see the cherry outside. It's there but we keep hitting the glass because our mind is so set on it that we go through life trying the same things over and over again not realizing the one possibility that could save us from a lot of grief, and that is a lasting relationship with God.

You read a book until you finish it. Then you pick up another book and read it to completion. You learn a lot, but then you forget most of what you learned so you may read the book again. But when you realize that is the way you learn more you start to think of how wonderful the Bible is. The more you read it, the more you want to read it again. You may not understand it, but then you have to read between the lines and find the hidden meanings in the Bible.

The Bible is like a treasure chest of great riches. It can give you so much positive energy and keep giving it. And what other book will give that to you?

Don't let the lack of cherries of this world get you down. Instead let God be your strawberry.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to stop hitting the glass like the fly does. Instead help me to find an alternative. Help me to find the gifts that you have given me inside of me. Help me to find them so that I can learn to serve you better. Help me to realize that you are always standing at the door and knocking. Please help remind me to open the door for you. And thank you for all your many blessings. Amen.

Benediction: Now, Lord, Bless us in our daily lives. Help us to smell the roses whenever possible, to shine our light on those less fortunate than us, and lead us in the path we should go. For you are the light that keeps our path well lit. Help us to follow it, until we meet you, in a land where milk and honey abound, a place where our most wonderful dreams are fulfilled. Amen.

Hi, my name is Bryan, a messenger of hope who would love to hear from you. God Bless.
