But yet people are still driven to the maniacal drivel that plants itself on the screen with more than enough crap to try to get us to ignore the rubber band and ceiling wax mentality and the sticky candy cinema floors. So instead of trying to waste your time with another awful movie instead of the wholesome movie you were hoping for, look to the glory of God instead.
04/17/2005 Put Blame Aside - Sometimes it so easy to blame ourselves for past events, even though what happened is beyond our control. It is times like this that we need to sit ourselves down, read a few chapters of the Bible and pray and let God give us the guidance we need.

But yet we will often ignore them while we try to emulate the "made its" in life. Instead of trying to duplicate the riches of others, realize that the riches from God are more important.

This is because we get caught up in our own world and earthly desires, not realizing that God has a plan and will let us know about it if we will only take the time to ask Him for it.

At these times it is important to just pick up the Bible and start reading. Maybe start reading at the beginning in Genesis with a few chapters each day. But unless you make a real effort to help your children learn about the love and the rewards that the Lord has to offer, you may just find them swimming in a ocean of sharks that will distract them from an understanding of God's love.
